Guestteacher
Juli Gabor (HU/AT) is a Hungarian dancer, dance pedagogue, dance organiser and therapist based in Vienna, Austria. She studied dance from age 14, completed a 2 year dance program at the Duncan-Dienes Orcestics School in Budapest (2002) and studied at Performers House in Silkeborg (DK). Her main focus in dance has from early on been contact improvisation and she studied the form in-depth with Eszter Gál, Scott Wells, Nita Little and many others, from 2006 on teaching ci regularly mostly in Hungary, Denmark and Austria.
Juli also holds a Bachelor in Danish Psychomotor and Relaxation Therapy (2014) and as well Practitioner of the Ilan Lev Method. She studied at the Holistic Dance Institute, where she later on assisted the founder Sabine Parzer and now offering courses in the frames of the Institute. Since 2021, she has been a teacher at the Movement Lab dance education program alongside Matan Levkowich in Vienna.
Between 2008 and 2018 Juli has been an active member of the danish ci community in Copenhagen, joining and supporting other nordic ci events as well. For the last 7 years, Juli is an active part of the Viennese ci scene, curates the weekly Stuwer jam, host-team member in the Wuk Jam and organises other ci related events regularly.
As a dancer and performer, her focus of course gravitates towards improvisation scores and site-specific performances, most recently as a member of the former Reset Collective (2020-2025).

The most important keywords for Juli are EASE, JOY, PLAYFULNESS and PHYSICALITY — she seeks to practice these qualities in all aspects of her life as well as transmit them through her teaching and bodywork sessions.​​​​
