The Invisible Conversation - Linz

Service Description

Workshop with Sabin Parzer Holistic Dance with focus on Contact Improvisation, Somatics, Applied Anatomy What happens when we allow our dancing to emerge from listening rather than doing? Rather than trying to make the dance look a certain way, we investigate what happens when sensing, efficiency, curiosity, pleasure and connection become our guides. The invitation is to dance from a place where sensing, thinking, feeling and moving are not separate — allowing the intelligence of the body to become a resource for both our dancing and our lives. In this workshop we explore Contact Improvisation through somatic awareness. We begin with the body as experienced from within and allow movement, touch, weight, breath and connection to become sources of information. • How can I stay soft, responsive and awake, clear at the same time? • How can I take risk myself and stay in connection to my partner? • How can I listen to my partner without losing my own orientation? We will work with: • Breath and the impulse to move and connect • Released tonus and acute awareness • Touch as a source of information • Fascia and whole-body connectivity • Three-dimensionality, spiraling and the spine • Pelvis and shoulder girdle • Developmental movement patterns • Giving and receiving weight • Organic pathways into and out of lifts, falling and landings • Self-referencing while dancing with another • Boundaries, choice and conscious risk-taking • Presence with self, partner and space The focus lies on solo explorations, partner work and group improvisations, investigating how internal awareness influences the dance. This workshop is open for all participants and will be held both in German and English. Organisation & Registration: Verein Home https://www.verein-home.at Location: Sonnenstein Loft, Linz
