Wild Body, Living Earth - A creative approach to Ecosomatics

Workshop with Sabin Parzer This Summer Retreat invites us to dedicate five days to the transformative and holistic process of movement — reconnecting with ourselves while remembering that our bodies are not separate from the living world around us. In a time when our lives are increasingly shaped by speed, technology and disconnection from natural rhythms, we can easily lose touch with something fundamental: that we are nature. This separation can be understood as a form of ecological amnesia — forgetting the deep relationship between our bodies, our environment and the larger living systems of which we are part. Through improvisational dance, Authentic Movement, Contact Improvisation, mindful touch, movement meditation and artistic play, we explore the ecological self — the experience of ourselves not as isolated individuals, but as embodied beings in continuous relationship with other people, animals, plants, landscapes and the elements. We dance both in the studio and in nature, allowing the environment to become an active partner in our exploration. Through solo, duet and group processes, we listen to different qualities of movement, connection, support and presence. We explore how movement can awaken our senses, expand our awareness and reconnect us with the intelligence of the body and the natural world. There is time to slow down, to become curious, to play and to listen — to ourselves, to each other and to the more-than-human world. We work with: • Authentic Movement and different pathways of embodied self-exploration • Integrative Contact Improvisation and relational movement • Eco-somatic practices connecting body, place, environment • Artistic processes and transition time for integration • Different qualities of touch for relaxation, connection, tonus regulation • Movement meditation and embodied consciousness • Solo, duet and group processes in the studio and in nature This workshop is open to everyone with basic experiences in movement, dance and/or bodywork. This module is part of the Advanced Teachers Training (ATT) - Module Nature. This workshop will be held in both German/English. Price: € 680,- / TT's € 590,- / ATT-Module € 680,- TT price: applies to anyone who is currently participating in a Holistic Dance Teachers Training or has successfully completed one in the past.
