Workshop with Stefan Steur Playgrounds of Contact – A Journey into Movement and Connection Contactimpro for beginners and advanced practitioners Contact improvisation is an encounter between two people who share touch through improvised movements. Three-dimensional movements emerge from the interplay of dance elements such as weight, force, speed, and momentum. I love the playful, exploratory quality of expressing myself freely through dance while simultaneously connecting and interacting with others. This workshop invites you to explore and deepen the foundations of Contact Improvisation. Through simple, progressive exercises, you will explore ways of giving and receiving weight, finding more easeful pathways through different levels, and playfully engaging in dance with others while remaining free in your movement. We play and explore: • fundamental principles of CI (sharing weight, rolling point of contact, leading and following...) • different qualities of touch • bodywork (helps us perceive ourselves more clearly) • somatics (how do I experience my body from within, how does my body feel in self-perception) • solo, duo, and group scores The workshop is open to beginners as well as those who wish to deepen their foundations. No prior experience is required—only curiosity, respect for your own boundaries, and a willingness to engage in movement and connection. Price: € 260,- / TT's € 210,- TT price: applies to anyone who is currently participating in a Holistic Dance Teachers Training or has successfully completed one in the past.
