Podcast: Sabin solo - Healing Part 3/3

In this third and final solo episode of the Good Choices Podcast Healing series, Sabine Parzer turns her attention to integration — the often overlooked, yet essential phase of healing.

Following Embodiment (Part 1) as an ongoing daily practice and Transformation (Part 2) as a condensed, intense phase of change, this episode explores integration as the process of digesting, sorting, weaving, and anchoring what has been experienced.

From her perspective as a professional dancer, bodywork practitioner, and founder of the Holistic Dance Institute, Sabine reflects on how dance, movement, and conscious touch support integration on a cellular, somatic, and nervous system level.

In this episode, she explores:

  • Integration as a necessary phase after transformation

  • Healing as regulation, homeostasis, and sustainability

  • Why slowing down supports lasting change

  • Integration through creativity, rest, ritual, and reflection

  • The role of the nervous system and brain plasticity after intense experiences

  • The mandala as a symbol of wholeness, individuation, and integration

Sabine also shares personal reflections on how integration unfolds in her own life — through rest, movement, conversation, teaching, and the creation of this very podcast series.

This episode invites listeners to soften expectations, trust the body’s innate intelligence, and allow space for new aspects of self to settle, rewire, and shine.

___

"Good Choices - A holistic conversation about dance, art & life with Sabine Parzer" is a podcast series in which we invite professionals of the dance and art world as well as related fields to speak about the choices that they make, artistically, personally, ecologically, politically and spiritually. How do these choices effect and inspire them in their work, their physical and mental health, their family lives, the communities that they live in? The questions we ask look toward the interrelation of life and art, how seemingly small (or big) choices may influence, enhance or even contradict the flow of life. Sabine Parzer is head and founder of the Holistic Dance Institute, an internationally well known teacher of Contemporary Dance, Contact improvisation and Authentic Movement. She has been professionally active as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, dance- and body therapist for more than 30 years in the USA, Europe, Russia, Brazil and Israel.
